Boil Water Notice

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT VOLUSIA COUNTY UTILITIES HAS ISSUED A SYSTEM‑WIDE PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE (PBWN) FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF THE SPRUCE CREEK FLY‑IN COMMUNITY

Public Water System Number: 3640412 (WTP‑15)
Effective: 10‑10‑26 at 3:15 PM

WHO IS AFFECTED:
• All residents and customers of the Spruce Creek Fly‑In Community Water System (1471 service connections)

REASON FOR ISSUING PBWN:
• An equipment failure at the water treatment plant occurred at 2:43 PM on 10-10-26, resulting in a temporary loss of pressure below 20 PSI in the water distribution system. Although pressure was quickly restored, all residential and commercial customers are advised to boil water as a precaution until the notice is lifted.

NOTIFICATION:
• The General Manager of the Spruce Creek Fly‑In Community has been notified. Information will be distributed via community email and electronic signage.
• Volusia County Utilities has posted signage throughout the community advising residents of the PBWN, including a link to the Water Alert website for updates.
• Food establishments within the community are being notified directly through verbal communication and/or door hangers.

WHEN THE PBWN WILL BE LIFTED:
• Lifting the notice requires two consecutive days of satisfactory bacteriological sample results. Volusia County Utilities staff are working to lift the PBWN as soon as possible.
• Notification that the PBWN has been lifted will be distributed using the same communication methods listed above.
